Why is Kidz Academy in schools?
Together with students, teachers, school principals and parents we are building a strong, healthy, and long-lasting culture of well-being.
Well-being is the foundation of learning, and creating balance across physical, social, emotional, and academic dimensions is
essential to foster growth, learning, and resilience for life’s challenges.

Strong and healthy well-being, is the foundation for great performance.
To build a strong and healthy culture of well-being you must focus on and strengthen these 3 areas, in the following order:
- Creating an environment where we feel safe & secure.
- Creating an environment where we feel valuable & important.
- Building a community based on points 1 and 2.
We are all performers, but to be great performers, we need to feel safe and secure in order to learn and develop from our mistakes – and feel that we have something valuable and important to contribute to the community.
Research
The research behind strong and healthy well-being, and its foundation for great performance, is heavy and well-documented.
Therefore, it is Kidz Academy’s mission to put well-being on the school schedule nationally and internationally – and we are well on our way in cooperation with visionary schools in Denmark and across Europe.
well-being
ambassador
Our Well-Being Ambassador Program empowers older students to become mentors for younger peers, creating a supportive network within the school community. These young mentors share advice, exercises, and personal experiences, offering younger students role models they can relate to and look up to.
This peer-to-peer approach fosters a unique connection that adults simply can’t replicate in the same way. Both mentors and mentees benefit deeply from the program, as mentors build leadership skills and empathy, while mentees gain a stronger sense of belonging and confidence. This reciprocal relationship helps everyone involved to grow and thrive.
In Copenhagen, 17-year-old Viktoria Junker serves as a mentor for younger teens and children who need support in building their inner strength. Viktoria’s role is to guide and inspire these children, helping them grow emotionally and socially by sharing her own insights and experiences. Her presence as a peer mentor provides the children with someone relatable and encouraging, helping them feel stronger and more confident in themselves.
Summer Camp 2025
All children and young people are important and have something special to contribute – and it is our mission and goal that every participant in our camps leaves with a sense of belonging and self-worth.
SummerCamp 2025
All children and young people are important and have something special to contribute – and it is our mission and goal that every participant in our camps leaves with a sense of belonging and self-worth.

We provide children and young people with a strong foundation, helping them believe in themselves and discover what makes them unique.
The program at our camps is carefully designed, striking a fine balance between activities, exercises, creativity, presence, campfire gatherings, reflection, play, movement, laughter, and plenty of joy.
SummerCamp 2025 will be held at Livsstilsefterskolen Hjarnø in collaboration with BGI Akademiet – in a safe, inclusive, and heartfelt environment, surrounded by nature, the beach, and the sea.
Kidz Academys 5 strategies.
Kidz Academy works with five strategies that build and lay the foundation for strong and lasting well-being, enhance self-esteem, and create strong and nurturing learning communities:
- A Positive Culture
We teach children and young people to understand the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behavior. By consciously working with our inner world, we create an outer world and culture characterized by respect, joy, and inclusivity. - Recognition and Self-Esteem
We strengthen belief in one’s own abilities through specific exercises, activities, and mirroring. A strong sense of self-esteem is the foundation for standing firmly in oneself while contributing positively and meaningfully to a community. - Spotting Strengths – Positive Psychology in Practice
When children and young people feel seen, heard, and valued, they grow. We focus on identifying and developing individual character strengths – and using them actively and constructively in daily life. - Stillness, Breathing, and Inner Balance
Through simple breathing exercises and meditation, we help children and young people find calm and connect with themselves, enhancing mindfulness, self-regulation, and resilience. - Play, Joy, and Community
We use play, movement, and team-building activities to strengthen relationships and create safe communities. When we laugh, move, and play together, genuine connections emerge – along with the feeling of belonging and inclusion.
